
Asansol Sishu Bharati Vidyamandir Girls' High School is one of the oldest school of Asansol with a good educational background.It is a Bengali medium educational institute located in the mid of the city on NS Road, Asnsol South. It was established in 1948. In the initial period, it was a small school in a garrage with few children running. Later, it was shifted to a school, Adi durgamandir. The immense effort of the well wishers and local people of that time help the school to establish it self with a permanent address. The School ground was donatedand the building was raised with the funds of the locals. Teachers like Mrs.Nipuna and Mrs. Durga (masi) played a great role in moulding the Bengali mengali girls' school. Their aim was to promote education among girls in the locality with the passage of time the school was further modified with the contribution of the Sarva Siksha Abhiyan fund and MP funds. The School was upgraded to upper primary on 1st january 1967 and further affiliated to west Bengal Board of Secondary Education in 1969. Mostly, 1st generation learners, come to study in our school and score good results in their board examinations with the constant support and guidance of Headmistress and all the teaching and non-teaching staff.
