Balbodhan Vidyalaya (Higher Secondary) has its origin in establishment of Balbodhan Vidyalaya (Primary) in 1949 at its present location of Chandmari Railway Colony, Asansol-2, Dist- Paschim Burdwan.
It got upgraded to a Class- 4 Junior High School in 1964 and to a full fledged High School and then to a Higher Secondary School in the year 1998 and 2005 respectively.
The school is an integrated Co- Educational Hindi medium school with Arts, Commerce and Science stream and has NCC and other co –curricular activities as its regular features.
