History

In the midst of Dihika village, on the bank of Damodar River , a small school Name Dihika Junior high School set up in 1969. A real necessity of the common people villagers dream of education was fulfilled . some education interested person with the help of other sensible villagers struggled relentlessly with many obstacles and finally achieved their goal to have a school in the village. At starting it was only two rooms and a big campus. As it got affiliation as a jr high school and it started its class from V to class VIII. Mr. NARAYAN CHANDRA LAYEK had been it's 1st Headmaster. He started his work in this school with 6 teachers and obliviously with a few students. but their collective effort gradually led the school set up to a satisfactory position. The school finally reached to a good position and in 2006 the school got affiliation as a secondary school.and the upgraded school now is registered as DIHIKA HIGH SCHOOL.
