History

Our school was set up in the year 1954 by Late R. N. Saha, the founder teacher. He started to teach some local children in a room of a railway quarter. As the number of students increased gradually, he was allowed to run a school in an abandoned railway godown. There after the school got affiliation on 01.01.1954. The school ran successfully for decades. After that the renovation and reconstruction of the school building was done by our retired Head Teacher, Mrs. Manjula Roychoudhury (Banerjee) who joined the school in December, 2006. Her tireless and honest effort made several improvements in the school atmosphere like electricity connection, two storied building etc. A grant from ADDA helped in renovation process. The new renovated building was inaugurated on September 5, 2008. Since then our school has been running successfully. We have some problems but we hope to overcome those barriers too.
