Before independence “NIYAMATPUR VILLAGE” was defined as a small village of Bardhaman. Beside this village one big road passing named “G.T.ROAD”. That particular road constructed by “SHER SAH”. That time there was no infrastructure available regarding education. Villagers are very poor. On that situation some land lord (JAMINDAR) was interested to provide the light of education to villagers. In the year of 1926 such peoples namely DAMAN CHANDRA CHAKRABORTY, BAGALA PRASAD CHAKRABORTY, SARADA PRASAD CHAKRABORTY and DEVI PRASAD CHAKRABORTY was for the first time deputes a teacher named “RADHA GOBINDO MUKHOPADHYAY” from Pabra of Bankura to teach the villagers. The pathsala was started at DURGA MANDIR of that village. After death of that teacher his brother SAROJAKHYA MUKHOPADHYAY had taken charge of that pathsala. He was a scholar of Santiniketan Biswabidyalaya. Villagers were respecting him always. Educational system of neamatpur village was increased very shortly. By his honest sacrifices no of student increased day by day. The space for study was very short on that time. After that DAMAN CHANDRA CHAKRABORTY donate 0.51 acre land to make a school. In the year of 1946 a new building for school was completed and starts to perform by the name “KALIDAS VIDYABITHI”. Later on so many brilliant student came out from this school and established themselves in society as doctor, engineer etc.
Presently new school declared as a govt. aided school and running successfully with the help of education department. Presently school functioning with experienced, talented individuals and they are trying to improve educational depth from various angel.
