History

The school which is established in the year 1966, gains popularity slowly but surely in the nieghbourhood places in Barakar. Late Krishna Prasad laik, the then Secretary of the school, donated the land for the school. In spite of many obstacles,it is the enormous effort of the then Secretary and some well wishers in the neighbourhood places in Barakar which enables to establish such an institution for the sake of local students who are economically backward in then social status. The 20th day of january in every year is observed as the Foundation day of the school. The school is situated in the Dishergarh Road, Begunia Barakar, Paschim Bardhaman.The school got its first recognition as Junior High School in the year 1984 with two classes with co-education status for Class - V & Class - VI and in 1985 for Class - VII & Class - VIII. Next, the school has been upgraded into High School with Class-X status in the year 1999. Later , the school has been upgraded into H.S School with Class-XI & Class - XII  status for ARTS Section only in the year 2010..
