
HISTORY
It was 1921 when Bengal Iron Company Ltd. Started the Kendwa Markab with three Muslim Teachers which In due course developed into a Primary school for both Hindu and Muslim boys.
The combined efforts of the then Headmaster Mr. M. I. Jafri and Secretary Sri Rajni Kant Sarkar led to the up gradation of the primary school into Kendwa High School in the year 1952.
This school later developed into a Higher Secondary Institution in the year 1999 by the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education and it continues to hold the same status till date.
The school is managed by Central Advisory Committee constituted in the year 1969 by a decree of the Honorable High Court, Calcutta.
