Dhairhat High Madrasah was established in 1978 and recognised as Junior High Madrasah in 1998(under WBBME) and at present it upgraded to Higher Secondary Institution( V to XII) under WBCHSE. The Madrasah was founded with the objective of contributing substantially to educate the children of the underprevileged class of the minorities of the adjoining area of the Madrasah. It's situated at Cooch Sadar Sub-division, 3 km away from Cooch Behar- I Block B.D.O Office (East side of 4No Bazar). It has a large play ground and inner campus ground is surrounded by greenary with various plants , kitchen garden and Herbal Garden
