Kanura Jr. High School is a New Set-up upper primary school under the WBBSE, School Education Department, Government of West Bengal. The school was established in the year 2008 at Kanura under Kumarganj North Circle of Kumarganj Block, Dakshin Dinajpur.

           The location of the school is in the field of the village- Kanura, a very undeveloped area of Kumarganj Block. The institution is very beneficial to the poor students, who might be dropped out due to unavailability of school nearing them. We,  the teachers approach to their houses and encourage them always to continue their studies as they have to face many hurdles in their life. The school caters for the students with proper learning. Mid Day Meal at tiffin hour fulfills their hunger. Overall, inspite of many drawbacks, the students get their learning environment in their vicinity at Kanura Jr. High School.
