Talpukur primary school is situated in the village Talpukur under rajnagar circle/block in the Birbhum District.It is under control of the Birbhum District Primary school Council Which is an Autonomous Body under the govt of Westbengal. The total land for the school premisses was donated by some kindful villagers Eho were interested in education felt the neef and essence of spreading the lights of basic education among the people of the village area.

Previously it was a kaccha building later in course of time single bricks built building in the year 1978 .

At present two classroom ,toilet facity,kitchen,dining hall the school is recently provided with running water facility with financial help of NGO.

All the students of our school privided with all govt facilities like free textbook,uniform,shoes,mdm,free medical check up.The classrooms as well equrped with electricity , bilb,fans,the desks fir sitting accomodassion of children But there is always a need more devlopment in the area.

The total numbers of teachers at present in the school is two.they all are appoinment with the minimum educational and professional qualification specified by the govt education department .the school as a govt institution completely and the school activities including school hours are maintained and followed strictly an accordance with the govt orders and Direction.
