Mahishpukur High School was set up at Mahishpukur (Patlikhanpur Gram Panchayet ) Under Hasnabad Block, North 24 Pgs in the year 1970. In the Year 1985 the school was recognized by WEST BENGAL BOARD OF SECONDARY EDUCATION as a IV Class Jr. High School. The School was upgraded as a Madhyamik School in 2001.
