It is a great honour to be a part of this glorious 180 years old educational institution. The aim of our school is to create an environment with a view to inculcating a value based education for the proper development of personality of the boys pursuing their studies here. If look back to the academic performance or the overall progress of this school, it can be comprehended that it is still carrying the flag of premiership.

I feel myself immensely proud as well as lucky to be the successor of so many great personalities who served here as head of the institution or as teachers. They were mentors rather than teachers.

The aim of education should be to help the growing soul to draw out the intrinsic qualities, and make them perfect for noble use. We at Hooghly Branch Govt School engage our students in such a way that they learn and understand this aim of education through learning which is imparted here through a proper blend of traditional and modern methodology.
