Hooghly Branch Govt. School is a boys-only government run school which is one of the oldest and prestigious educational institutions of our country. Set up in the year 1834 as a branch of Hooghly Mohasin College, the school is popular for various achievements in literature, art, games and sports and social services. Pupils of this school have gone on to achieve prominence in various fields.
