—— Since ——
Khalore Gopimohan Sikshayatan is located at the core of Bagnan city, at Khalore in the district of Howrah in West Bengal. It is Higher Secondary Institution. Now it has a large three storeyed building with a big playground. But in the long past during the British Empire it was a small building with three rooms. Then it was an english medium school for girls named Khalore Gopimohan Balika Vidyalaya. It was only for a few years. Then again in 1966 some loacal people and the members of the trusty board of Khalore Kalibari decided to establish an organised school. The school was started with a few local students (about 40-45 students) and three teachers. The Headmaster of the school was Gour Mohan Bose.
In 1970 this institution started his journey as Government Aided School with the academic section of Class V to VIII. In 2002, this institution was upgraded to High School (upto Class X) with affiliation to West Bengal Board of Secondary Education and in 2009 it was upgraded to Higher Secondary School with affiliation to West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education. Now it has converted into Government Sponsored Higher Secondary School and running smoothly with a good academic record.
