Salkia Sabitri Balika Bidyalaya  establihed in memory of Sabitri Devi  by the Sadhukhan family of Salkia for the spread of women education.Throughout its journey,the school  has rendered service to the first generation learners mostly,with a few exceptions.Naturally, the building has borne the wrath of time and is now in a poor condition. Many works has remained undone for the lack of fund.Lately,the local MLA,Mr. Lakshmi Ratan Shukla ,has  now extended his helping hand towards the repair of the building,though the work is yet to start. The teachers are very cooperative ,the teacher student relationship is such that the students feel it as their second home.
