The institution named Debra Uchchatara Madhyamik Vidyalaya,popularly known as  Arabinda  Institution is the part, is actually located within the campus of Debra Thana Sahid Khudiram Smriti Mahavidyalaya ,situated at Gangaramchak , p.o.- chakshyampur , p.s.—Debra , Paschim Medinipur , just beside Debra – Balichak Bus route , the age old famous Patna sitala –Manasa mandir, and the Debra Superspeciality Hospital in close vicinity.

The Institution , though formaly controlled by an administrator appointed by the D.I.(SE) Medinipur(w) has of late been accredited as a Govt. sponsored High School with a valid Managing Committee of its own. Since 1976  this school has been catering to its credit to the academic needs of the students  as a unique co-educational institution in the District of Medinipur(w)  , unique in the sence that it is composed  to higher secondary classes only , i.e. class-xi & class-xii .

This institution can claim the prestigious status of having an astute body of teachers ,and a competent non-teaching staff ; batches of lovely successful students every year  ; a pleasant rapport between the teachers and the taught , and an additional provision for Vocational studies and a Rabindra Mukto  Vidyalaya unit going on simultaneously . In the general section all the three students –Science , Arts , & commerce-are taught here with adequate Laboratory & Library facilities of all sorts.
