LOHAPUR BALIKA JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL was established in 2010 and it is managed by the Department of Education, West Bengal. It is situated in the heart of the prosperous old village of Lohapur at Birbhum. A number of great and energetic locals started the work of imparting education to the people of and around the village of Lohapur. From then on the school is untiringly working towards offering quality education to the people based on the fertile agricultural lands .First recognition came from West Bengal Government in the year 2010. Besides education the school teachers have been actively working towards developing co- curricular skills among the students.  A good number of alumni have got beautiful placements in the professional life.
