Falakata Subhash Girls’ High School, one of the oldest institutions in Falakata Block in Alipurduar district has been imparting education to girls since its inception on the 2nd day of January in 1973. The School is situated near Nataji Road next to the post office of Falakata. One of the branches of river mujnai glides by on the west side of the school. The institution was setup with a view to cater to the growing need of girls’ education in the locality. Established as a junior high school the school was sanctioned recognition as a high school in 1980 and was upgraded to a higher secondary school in 2007.
