Jagadbandhu Institution Alumni Association is an integral part of the school. Now into its third decade, the Alumni has gone from strength to strength since its inception. It has played an effective role in keeping the alumni connected to their alma mater.
Apart from regular meetings, the Alumni organizes an Reunion in every two years, and a Picnic every winter. A newsletter, titled 'Kheya', is also brought out regularly. The Alumni constituted Upendranath Dutta Memorial Lecture in the recent years. An educationist is invited to deliver it. The Alumni also holds a drama festival at Madhusudan Mancha at regular intervals.
Meritorious students achieving a certain degree of academic success in Madhyamik Pariksha and Higher Secondary Examination are felicitated by the Alumni every year. A distinguished citizen is invited every year to give away the awards. The Alumni also holds medical camps for the current students. In the recent years the Alumni has played a pivotal role in revamping the school premises and overhauling the school infrastructure.
The Alumni is presently housed at a large room in the ground floor of the heritage block of the school building. The room may be found if one enters the school premises from gate no. 1. It is named Upendranath Dutta Sabhaghar. Upendranath Dutta, it may be noted, had been an illustrious teacher of Jagadbandhu Instutition. He rose to the rank of Headmaster and, on his retirement, continued to serve the school as the Rector. Upendranath is also an recipient of National Teacher award.
At present, the Alumni has a strength of 1,100 members. Swapan Roy Chowdhury (1953 batch) is presently the President and Sandip Chatterjee (1985 batch) is presently the Secretary of the Alumni.
