Pundibari GDL Balika Vidyalaya affiliated up-to class X ( in the year 1998), started growing and getting importance as the existing girls school at the area. It was with the sincere efforts of the local residents, teachers, the other non teaching staff, the management committee, that the institution achieved another milestone in 2005 in being upgraded and affiliated upto class XII initially starting with Arts stream. In the year 2016 Pure Science and Bio Science have also also been introduced at the Higher Secondary level. Meanwhile on the completion of 25 years of successful journey we celebrated a grand Silver Jubilee in 2006.

Pundibari GDL Balika Vidyalaya has many positive attributes some of which are :

• The local residents eagerly want to admit their children in this school.
• In this area the school has gained the love of the masses.
• The guardians actively take part in all school related matters
• The teachers perform their duties with sincerity and devotiom 
• The attendance rate of the students are good year round. The students also actively take part in both academic and extracurricular activities.

With the sincere efforts from the SMC, local residents and help of the authority I hope that in the upcoming days the school will flourish further.
