History

Pundibari GDL Balika Vidyalaya was established at Pundibari, CoochBehar Block-II in the year 1974 Initially the school did not have its won working building. As it has started as a sister institution of the already existing Boys High School. The land of the school was donated by Ghanashyam Das Lakhotia in whose honor the school got its name. It was only in 1981 that the school earned recognition.
