Katla F P School was established in 1918 (02- 01-1918). 86 decimal land was donated to the school for established by local famous kind-hearted  Late Achhan Uddin Mondal  and inhabitant of village Katla PO Dangarhat, PS Kumarganj, Dist: Dakshin Dinajpur. It is located in a rural area of village Katla PO Dangarhat GP Samjhia PS and blocks Kumarganj in Dakshin Dinajpur of West Bengal, 733141.

The school consists of grade - IV. The school is co- educational and it has an attached pre-primary section. At present in the academic year 2020, 168 students and 6 teachers (including the TIC) in this school. Bengali is the medium of instructions of this school is approached by all weather road. Academic session starts in January in every year of the school. School has Government building, there are 3 class rooms for instructional purpose and one room is occupied as teachers room cum library. The school has partial boundary wall without any gate, it is a great disturbance of students security.The school has electric connection, running water too. School has no computer and has facility of ramp for special need child's .
