JIBANTITALA HIGH SCHOOL(H.S) has already completed fifty glorious years of its vibrant existence. The school finds its root in the untiring effort of the local people in eliminating the darkness of ignorance and superstitions and hence plays a pivotal role in the social, cultural and economic development of the community at Nabagram block in Murshidabad District. The school educates pupils from class V to XII from all walks of life without any discrimination  and thereby shapes their life by preparing them to meet future challenges.

The school, founded in 1968, is affiliated to West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) and west Bengal Council of Higher Seconadry Education (WBCHSE) and teaches in Bengali medium. At the secondary level all regular subjects are taught and at the Higher Secondary level the school offers Sanskrit, Education, Geography, History and Political Science along with the other compulsory subjects. The school also provides Computer Education to its pupils. Our dedicated teachers and staffs regularly guide and monitor to ensure all round development of the pupils.The school also has a playground and a library. The school also has a computer and a geography laboratory.  

The school embraces greater social and moral responsibilities and therefore engages the students in various activities.There is a child Cabinet where the students get a chancce to engage themselves with the well being of the school.In the eco club , named 'Shyamali', they look after the environment of the school and its surroundings. Cultural and physical activities like observing special days, annual sports, inter class kabadi, cricket and football matches are held regularly. The wall magazines 'Korak' and 'Anandadhara' and printed school magazine ' Aikataan celebrate literary and artistic flair of the students. The girl students can get training for self defense. The Career Counseling Hub in the school moulds future dream of the students. There is a continuous endeavour to bring scientific outlook among the students through science fair and other competitions.

Though there are some infrastructural restraints the school strives to become a centre of excellence in the district. In this direction cooperation, suggestion and participation of all the stakeholders are earnestly solicited.
