History

JIBANTITALA HIGH SCHOOL (H.S) was founded in 1968. The local people felt the necessity of a secondary school in this area. They got united, coordinated among themselves and worked together tirelessly for this purpose. All the people in this locality played various constructive role to establish this school. They constructed a temporary building after many struggles. They started to use this temporary building and the building of the Amatpur Primary School as class rooms for class V to VIII. Thereafter they applied for recognition of this co-educational school and after many efforts the institute got recognition from 1st January,1968 as Junior High School ( Letter No.- 3269 Jr/04.02.69).

Local people had already decided unanimously  that name of the institution would be  'Jibantitala High School' in the name of locally worshipped goddess Maa Jibanti. Many persons played vital role to establish the school among them the following persons are recorded as founder- i) Shanti Kumar Roy, ii) Shri Binay Kumar Roy, iii) Shri Chandicharan Ghosh, iv) Late Narayan Chandra Sarkar (Doner), v) Late Motiur Rahaman vi) Late Sudarshan Ghosh, vii) Shri Arabinda Mandal, viii) Late Shyamchand Swarnakar.

After a journey of about ten years the school became better, larger,greater in its quantity and quality. In 1978 it was affiliated for high school. The first batch  from this school appeared at Madhyamik Examination in 1980.Gradually concrete building and boundary walls were consructed by voluntary donation of the local people and properly utilising the government aids. Many teachers and staffs joined through School service Commission. Present Head Master joined the school in 2006. During its incessant journey number of students, teachers and staffs have increased and simultaneously there was a continuous effort to upgrade the quality of education in school. The school got recognition of Council of Higher Secondary Education in 2010 . The first batch appeared at Higher Secondary Examination in 2012.

In 2018 the school completed fifty years and the event was celebrated through various colourful programmes.
