Under the able leaderhip of the freedom fighter Late Rajat Bhushan Dutta, Ahmadpur Sri RamKrishna High School was founded on 1st January, 1967.

Ahmadpur is a census town in Sainthia CD Block in Suri Sadar subdivision of Birbhum, West Bengal. Ahmadpur is remembered in the area for its Sugar mill and as one of the vintage narrow gauge railway. However not only Ahmadpur but the surrounding areas (dominated by a population of minority, SC, & ST) remain educationally backward once due to lack of sufficient educational institute. Urged by the will to kindle the light of learning in Ahmadpur and adjoining areas noble person like, Late Rajat Bhushan Dutta wanted to establish another school in this area.
