 The school was established in January 1962. Some local Philomaths turned into a new leaf in Chowgachha village, is now one of the leading  Higher  Secondary Educational Institutions in Chakdaha Block of Nadia District.

The school is situated in a remote area, far from Chakdaha town. Most of our  pupils come from SC, ST and OBC families. Guardians are mainly agricultural labourers and belong to the below poverty level. Maximum number of our students are First- generation learners.

Teachers are determined to lift them up. Our primary challenge is to get back school dropouts  providing co-curricular activities. Also our goal is to enlight our meritorious students with flying colours. We give importance to develop their own curiosity on learning so that they become self-motivated learners. Beside the classroom studies, cultural activities, sports and games are provided for enrichment of their discipline and moral values.
