History

School History:

The school was set up in 1962 in the midst of the village Chowgachha with the hearty initiatives of the local educationists and dignitaries.

The school got first recognition as 2- class Junior High School vide Board’s Memo no. 23551/G dted- 31.08.1967. Later ie got second recognition as a 4- class Junior High School. The school was upgraded to XI class H. S school vide Board’s Memo no. 12752/G dated- 17-04-1967. Later the school was converted to the status of X class High School in 1974. The school come came under Grant-in-aid scheme w.e.f. 01-05-1972 vide G.O. No.- 343 Edn(s) dated 03.03-1975.

Finally the school was upgraded to XII class H.S. school w.e.f. 2005-2006 academic session vide council’s Memo No.- DS(A)SD/81/Recog/05 dated 22-06-2005.

The school also got Science stream facility in the academic session 2014-2015.
