Our school is located in a fairly wealthy area. Most people in this area are the middle class. There are many big renowned schools in this area. So the children in this area go to those renowned schools. But there are some slums around this area. Those who live in those slums are quite poor. The poor children of those slums get free education in our school. The doors of our school are open for those children who are not getting decent & proper school education.

We strive to provide as a relevant, challenging interdisciplinary academic curriculum that is developmentally appropriate for our students. Our faculty and staff create a learning environment that respect, supportive and inclusive and where students can connect with others who share the same interest. At our school, we are committed to providing our students with a well-rounded academic, physical and spiritual program with the help of experienced and a dedicated faculty’. The school was formed in 1953 and named after the father of Mr. Bhupen Chandra Putatunda, a distinguished person of the area, who had donated his land to build this school & hence came to be known as Nabinchandra Vidyapeeth.

It is now a government co-educational primary day school & consists of around 133 students mostly from very poor sections of the society. who lack several basic amenities of life. It remains our challenge to give them a decent standard of education along with the skills & temperament to help them succeed in their life & come out from their present standard of life through a good formal education. As a government primary school, it falls under the purview of the Right To Education Act & hence we are duty bound to provide all students standard education totally free of cost and also to provide them with free healthy nutritious meals. We also provide them with books, uniforms & all educational kits absolutely free.
