History

NabinChandra Vidyapeeth is a leading Bengali Primary School of Sadar Urban Circle located in Najirapara, Krishnanagar. It was set up by former councilor of ward no. 6, Late Bhupen Putatunda in his land on 1.3.1953, and the school was rebuilt using the fund of Sarba Siksha mission under the leadership of the former Head Teacher Nikhil Ranjan Sikder and former Councillor of the ward Late Dilip Sharma. The school has a glorious past for spreading education in such an area surrounded by slums.

The school was named in memory of the father of Mr. Bhupen Chandra Putatunda who had donated his land to build this school & hence came to be known as Nabinchandra Vidyapeeth.

This government-aided school is presently under Nadia District Primary School Council and 6 skilled & competent teachers help to run it.

The goal of the school is to provide a healthy and caring environment in which all members of the school irrespective of their class, religion or creed can achieve personal excellence and where both effort and achievement are encouraged and nourished.
