At Sonapukur Vidyapith HS,our endeavors and vision resolves around making education relevant and futuristic and making the students future ready citizens.                                                                                                                                      The foundation of the school was done by Honourable Sri Nalini Ballav Mondal and our journey started in 1951 when the building was made with bamboo & straws,then building was floated caused by a flood.Then school building was re-constructed with bamboo & straws after eight years,then school was affiliated as 2-class(V-VI)school in 1962,as 4-class(V-VIII) school in 1969 and then as X-class school in1971 by WBBSE.1st Batch 14 students appeared in Madhyamik examination in 1973.WBCHSE affiliated to school as Higher Secondary school in 2000.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                               Our results in WBBSE class-X & WBCHSE class-XII have been very encouraging through the previous years.Participation in intra-school events in co-curricular activities be it in sports,dance,music,drama,debate,elocution,extempore,speech,quiz or celebration of an important day in the assembly is a way of life for us.We keep traditions alive by celebrating Saraswati Puja,Indendence Day,Republic Day,Rabindra Jayanti and Teachers' Day.
