Puratan Bongaon High School (H.S.) has been engaged to flourish the light of wisdom with its every element of a model school. The name of the school has been shining in the education sphere of the whole Bongaon sub-division.

The experienced group of teachers has been assisting the learners by making the teaching process pleasing and practical, matching the pace of modern education policy. New school rooms have been built with the help of W.B. Govt.and Sarva Shiksha Mission. Every room of the school has the facility of electric lights and fans. Since 2012 computer classes are provided to class XI and XII. Not only that we provide computer classes from V to X also. In Madhyamik 2020, 98% of students passed & the highest scorer got 96% marks. In H.S. Exam 2019 inspite of not having regular teacher in full quota 96% of students were successful and in 2020 the highest scorer got 98% marks. We are glad and proud to declare that we are launched Science Department in the 2019-20 session.

Our school has also achieved success in Nirmal Bangla and Swach Bharat Abhijan. We are not lagging in the fields of sports and culture. We have paricipated in the district level in KHO-KHO & all these have been materialised with the earnest effort of Managing Committee and all the teaching and non-teaching staff.
