Kamalpore High School, an educational Institution, with a rich heritage, inspired by the educational philosophy of ancient India “Sa Vidya Ya Vimukti” serving holistically the educational, intellectual and cultural arena of the locality and its adjoining area, for more than 100 years, consistently.

This institution is co-educational, Higher Secondary under aegis of department of education, West Bengal Govt. Following the syllabus of WBBSE and WBCHSE. The medium of instruction is Bengali. Located in Khamargachhi Post Office, under Balagarh PS, Balagarh Block, Sadar-II, Dist.- Hooghly. The session starts from the month of January. The institution is N/A in nature without having attached pre-primary and not using school building as shift school.  The school also runs vocational courses, HS standard, affiliated to West Bengal State Council of Technical and Vocational Education and Skill Development. There is facility for N.C.C. training and mandatory computer training from  Class V to X.

The school has govt. building, with 59 classrooms for instructional purposes. Other than this there is a auditorium, two smart classrooms with latest K-Yan Machine, ICT Lab, Vivek Disha Network (an online classroom) with technical collaboration of Ramkrishna Mission, Belur Math. There is also separate lab for physics, chemistry, biology and geography department.

The source of drinking water is underground tap water system with the facility of water filter AcquaGuard.

The school has 4 boys and 5 girls’ toilets in function. Apart from this there is separate toilet for HM, Teaching and Non-Teaching Staff.  The school library is totally equipped with modern facility like computer, printer, scanner etc. for the aid of students. Also there is collection of 3170 books with versatility in subject and nature.  The school has 2 other rooms for non-teaching activities, 1 room for NCC, 2 separate rooms for H.M. and A.H.M, 1 room for office, a common room for teaching staff.

There is arrangement for total electrification, with a full boundary wall for the school.

The school prepares and provides Mid-Day-Meal (Class V to VIII) as per norms of S.S.A. There is a total equipped kitchen and dining hall for this purpose. The school is lacking any play ground but hopes that in the near future it can make necessary arrangement for this purpose. Patronage in this respect is eagerly solicited.
