Dear Students and Parents,

It is with the immense pleasure that I write as the H.O.I. of Somruk Sital Chandra Institution (H.S.). We are in our 73rd year as focussing on making role model of society. The School has a decent academic atmosphere being situated in the amidst of natural beauty of rural area of Somruk, in the district of Howrah. The school aims to provide holistic approach to shape over all personality of child imbibed in the moral values. The school has a modern outlook based on the strong roots of our traditional culture. Presently there are 24 efficient permanent teachers, 5 para teachers and 5 non-teaching staff in the institution. Their co-operation, suggestion, indomitable courage and never-ending toil have easily overcome many obstructions and made Somruk Sital Chandra Institution really promising and enterprising.

The children of today are gearing up to become responsible citizens of tomorrow. The growth is parallel to the future of our country, reflected through quality of the present education system. A school must stimulate curiosity in the young, impressionable minds and equip them with tools to be better human beings. Schools are social institutions to shape, mould and remould its citizens as required for and by society itself. 

Finally, I would like to say that progress and progress only is our motto. We need to grow and progress every day, every week, every month and every year. We need to increase the quality of the institution, quality of an individual and quality of life as a whole. Let us rise higher and higher. Sky is our limit. We shall keep the lamp of knowledge vividly glowing to achieve the vision.
