History

The Adjoining areas of Tapna G.P. in particular along with some other G.P.s like Hathgacha-I & Hatgacha-II in General had been groping in darkness for in long search of ray of light requiring a dazzling sun of Education to rise on. At this very junction a wealthy person of liberal outlook named Lt. Sital Chandra Parui of Somruk Village came forward to set up a school in the village and begged for ample land to the local Jamindar for the same. Some liberal persons donated about six acres of land for building a high school and an adjoining primary school. The high school started from class V to X from the historic year 1947.

The H.S. section (Arts) in favour of our Institution with subject like Bengali, English, political science, History, Philosophy, Education, Mathematics was sanctioned in the year, 2005. Then Arabic and Sanskrit were included in higher secondary level. Thereafter, Science stream (both pure and Bio) along with Geography & Physical Education were sanctioned in favour of school in the year, 2018.

This school is gearing up to commemorate it’s 75th anniversary in a befitting way in 2021 It has been evolving with time keeping it’s unique tradition intact.
