From the Head Of Institution Desk

Kalidaha Gohaldaha Rasiklal Memorial High School (H.S.) started its maiden journey in 1966 under active patronage from Late Satish Chandra Maity popularly known as ‘Bara Master’ who was really the whistle blower of education in this obscure region and its surrounding and he played a pivotal role in lying the foundation stone of this institution in a desolate place “far from the madding crowd” and since then it has been catering to the educational need of the locality with astounding success. It was respected Ramendranath Maity of Kalidaha who donated a land of 46 decimal in fond memory of his departed father Rasiklal, and it paved the way to construct a school. Since inception this institution has been imparting education with a view to enhancing all round development of the pupil through various educational, cultural and social programmes and the school boasts of maintaining a healthy relationship with all and sundry. The school observed its Golden Jubilee in 2015 with pomp and grandeur having active support from ex-students and teachers and it has been striding forward. Of late a three-storeyed RMSA building and a large auditorium with a sitting capacity of almost five hundred students have been constructed. The school authority has installed CC cameras for surveillance of the entire school building considering its isolated location and the attendance of the staff is being recorded in biometric device to maintain transparency. A generator set has been installed to cope with frequent power cut. Besides, WBSEDCL has installed a 64 K.W. transformer giving sympathetic response to our appeal for the same as the voltage went below 150 watts during the sultry days of summer. Having assistance from the School Education Department, Govt. Of West Bengal ICT has been introduced and the students have been learning their lessons with much zeal and enthusiasm. The absence of the post of a librarian is a hindrance to lending books through we have a large stock. We have a desire to make our class rooms smart so that learners who remain absent can keep themselves abreast. We have been regularly organising excursions and exposure visits to bring an end to the monotony of the students and with an intension of making their bookish enriched with the reality.
