History

Kalidaha Gohaldaha Rasiklal Memorial High School (H.S.) started its maiden journey in 1966 under active patronage from Late Satish Chandra Maity popularly known as ‘Bara Master’ who was really the whistle blower of education in this obscure region and its surrounding and he played a pivotal role in lying the foundation stone of this institution in a desolate place “far from the madding crowd” and since then it has been catering to the educational need of the locality with astounding success. It was respected Ramendranath Maity of Kalidaha who donated a land of 46 decimal in fond memory of his departed father Rasiklal, and it paved the way to construct a school. Since inception this institution has been imparting education with a view to enhancing all round development of the pupil through various educational, cultural and social programmes and the school boasts of maintaining a healthy relationship with all and sundry. The school observed its Golden Jubilee in 2015 with pomp and grandeur having active support from ex-students and teachers and it has been striding forward.
