Situated in a remote village with flora and fauna, Ganeshpur High School (H.S.) under Shyampur P.S. of Howrah Dist. has reached its glorious 150th years in 2014.It was founded in1864 with the generosity of land-donor Lt. Sri Shib Chandra Roy and lots of well-wishers of this area to lit the lamp of knowledge. This temple of learning was then started within mud- walled thatched with the selfless devotion of the then teachers and well-wishers . Of course, this institute has its present three-stored building with the recurring financial help and support of the Sarva Shiksha Mission and education-loving people of the adjacent villages. It is praise - worthy that since its birth, it has been spreading quality education resulting lots of doctors, Teachers, Engineers, Nurses, Govt. Officials and other professionals.

I feel extreme proud of the M.C., Teaching & Non-Teaching Staffs, Students, Guardians of our school and related Govt. Authorities whose heart-felt help, assistance and co-operation have made the functioning of the school management smooth, well-organised and hence satisfactory. I can not but express my humble gratitude to all of them  who have paved the achievement more or less for the development of this Institution. With sincere love to our peace-loving blossoming talents and warm regards to our seniors.
