Our school is one of the oldest school in West Bengal. Many eminent students excelled in life who studeid here. It was founded by the then Zaminder of Uttarpara Babu Jaykrishna Mukhopadhyay.Students come here from more than 12 villages and a Municipality. Students are very disciplined. Teachers are highly qualified and they excell in classes.Greenary surrounding the school makes it attractive. Besides General stream we have Vocational stream under the Vocational Council of West Bengal Govt. At present about 800 students study here. Many students of classes VII to X  are in N.C.C.Every year we publish our own School Magazine named "BALAKA". Students are awarded prizes for their excellence in education and sports in annual function every year.There is large playground in our school where the students practice regularly.The school has Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Nutrition, Computer Application and Geography laboratories.
