History

Baluhati High School was established on 01.02.1856. by the then Zamindar of Uttarpara, Hooghly Babu Jaykrishna Mukhopadhyaya.Some villagers interested in education appealed to the Zamindar Babu to set up a school in Baluhati and he founded this School. Students of near about 20 villages used to come to this School. It celerated its centenary anniversary in 1956 with colourful ceremonies and a centenary building was set up on that occasion.
