Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said that acquiring knowledge is the duty of every man and woman. It means every person irrespective of male or female, poor or rich, upper or lower caste, black or white, Hindi or English speaking should acquire knowledge for the development of a healthy society, so Howrah High School HS was established as a Co- Ed Urdu Medium institution to spread knowledge among the children of socially, economically and educationally disadvantage group of Urdu speaking people who live in the locality of P.M Bustee and surrounding to prepare a healthy society & respectable citizens. Now this institution has become an ideal Urdu Medium School in West Bengal which works under the supervision of WBBSE & WBCHSE. Academically, students of this institution perform better than other Urdu Medium Schools of West Bengal & trying to be topper in all mediums of West Bengal. Its results in M.P and H.S are always more than 90%. It has 5 well furnished labs - phys, chem, bio, geog & computer for the development of scientific temperament in them and 1 library with more than 3500 text books, reference books, and magazines to facilitate the sufficiently motivated students towards the education. It has 2 auditoriums for cultural programmes of the school and observation of different important days. It does not have its own playground attached to school campus but students of this institution avail this facility from nearby playgrounds. Every year Annual Sports of the school organizes in Sailan Manna Stadium (HMC Ground) and students participate in different events of Athletics. Football and cricket are the other favourite games of our students. Our students take part in all the cultural programmes, dramas and literary competitions organized by the concerned S.I office at Circle Level or District Level and perform better to win prizes. It gives a better infrastructure facilities to its students like spacious airy classrooms with better lights & fans, separate (male & female separately) well furnished and clean washrooms.
