It is a matter of great privilege and immense pleasure for me to be a part of Shibpur Dinobundhoo Institution(Main), which is one of the premier institutions in West Bengal and has gradually occupied a glorious position in the field of school education.

   The education imparted here is to fulfill the dream of the founder Rai Bahadur Dinobundhoo Mukherjee, of moulding children into well balanced personalities. So, besides rigorous scholastic programmes, it is our mission to provide quality education in maintaining a healthy and disciplined academic ambiance. We aim not to just impart knowledge to the students, but also to inculcate in them wisdom, compassion and a humanitarian spirit.

   In the present scenario education is the birth right of every child and promoting it, in the sincerest form is the prime responsibility of every school. The focus is on child centric education with all round development of the child so that he/she is academically sound, physically fit, mentally strong, emotionally balanced, ethically correct, morally wealthy and ready to face the real world .

   We seek to develop and nurture the different facets of a child. Since it is important for a child to explore and find their strengths in order to reach their true potential. So our school encourages all students to participate in a variety of co-curricular activities from dance, art, drama, singing, and a variety of sporting activities.

      We keep traditions alive by celebrating Saraswati Puja, Independence Day, Republic Day, birth day celebration of noted personalities, important international days and Teachers' Day with great enthusiasm.

    Our frequent interaction with the parents helps us better understand each individual. We hope the experience of every child in this school will be that of a second home where she or he will experience joy, love, and care and grow in wisdom. Instilling values in our students through life skill projects and community service or preservation of environment, field trips and excursions add meaning to our daily lives. We are trying to provide best of our efforts and resources to make available quality education and we would continue to upgrade ourselves with changing time.
