The Oriental Seminary for Girls is  an old and renowned educational institution for girl students in Chitpur area of North Kolkata. It is a Government Sponsored institution and started its journey as an extended family of The Oriental Seminary.I It was established by Sri Amrita Krishna Basu Mallick on January 2nd ,1934. The Platinum Jubilee of the institution was celebrated with great grandeur in 2010. The aim of the institution is the holistic development of the students, so that each of them develop into good human being with strong moral values.

At present, the head of the institution is Dr. Damayanti Roy, M.Sc.(Pure Chemistry),B.Ed., Ph.D.,who took charge in 2009.
