Overview: Panchkolguri Promodini High School (HS) was established in the year 1969 under the School Education Department, Government of West Bengal as an aided school  affiliated to the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education vide 57/G dated the 5th January,1970. This institution was started as a coaching centre by the founder Headmaster Late Karuna kanta Singha.Later, a group of dedicated and interested in education local civilians paved the way for establishing this institution on the land donated by Late Promodini Debi.This institution was upgraded to class XI and XII in the year 2009 under the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education , Government of West Bengal vide it's Recognition Memo No.DS(A)SD/114/Recognize/09 dated 15th July 2009. The Higher secondary section of this school was started with Political Science, Philosophy,History and Education as elective subjects. Later, Sanskrit and Geography were added to this list. The local demand for facility to study with science stream in the HS were fulfilled from 2015. Now, Chemistry,Physics, Mathematics and Biology subjects are taught here. I have very good reason to solemnly announce that all faculties both of Science stream and Arts are Very dedicated and well versed. With their support, I am  sure that I will be able to fulfill the purposes , demands,needs of the founders, society and the Government . The school is gradually reaching towards it's mission of disseminating the Jnanalok i.e. the torch of knowledge among the downtrodden first learners mostly of various tribes and scheduled Caste population. This institution has a promise to give the society its best return.
