Panchkolguri Promodini High school ( HS) was established in the year 1969. Its first inception was as a coaching centre. The first head of the Institution was Late Karunakanta Singha. He started this institution at first in the Mukta Mancha. A group of local enthusiatic, enlightened youths who are now mostly having grey hairs toiled their labours with utmost dedication to pave the way for creating an environment of education for their future generations. Their mission got grand success when this institution received affiliation from the west Bengal Board of Secondary education first as a four class and then as a secondary school with in the same year in w.e.f.01-01-1970 vide G.O. No.57/G dated the 5th day of January 1971.Since then this school has been serving as a centre for producing a group of dedicated youths who are now serving the nation in different filds.Later ,in 2009, this institution has been upgraded to a Higher secondary School with Arts Stream VideWest Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education ,Government of West Bengal Vide its Recognition No. DS(A)SD/114/Recog./09 dated the 15th of July 2009.A feeling gradually came into force that the local talents lacs the scope to study with the Science Stream. The Managing Committe came forward to honour this feeling of the parents. The institution received permission to arrange scope to study with science stream from the academic Session2015-2016.Very recently, the institution celebrated its glorious Golden Jubilee Year throughout the year starting from the 12th January2018 in a very colourful and majestic manner. The parents of the neighbourhood are having always a positive outlook towards the activity of this institution.
