                    Having established in 1964 and got recognization in 1971 by the District School Board, Darjeeling Department of Education, West Bengal Makum Gaon Primary School has progressed in the field of free and compulsory Primary Education. It gives me great pleasure to write here that the vision of this Pry. School is to educate, develop, and to make the children successful individuals in the deprived society. The institution is dedicated to education and development of poor children in this locality impart more and more knowledge, skills, values, belief, and habits in the stage of Primary Education. Education is the passport to the successful life of a human being. So, education is can be considered as a REAL CROWN of human being society advanced in the good guidance of Primary Education.

                  Further, after many struggles, the Primary School Upgraded as Makum Jr. High School (Upper Primary) in the year of 2015, and the Institution has been running smoothly from pre-primary to class VIII.

                 I deeply appreciate the teamwork of all Asst. Teachers of Pry. & Jr. High School Section of the school that has dedicated themselves to provide quality education to our poor children.
