“Education is the support to the future,
for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today.”
“Your attitude, not your aptitude, will determine your altitude.”
“The only person who is educated is the one who has learned how to learn...and change.”
St. Joseph Hindi Primary School Asansol, is a Christian Minority School, which was established in 1954, by Rev. Fr. Robert Dragman SJ.
It is affiliated to West Bengal Government in 1975 with the code no.(F. No. 1180 of 2006) and administered by the Catholic Diocese of Asansol.
In those days, the area was dominated by a number of English Medium Schools. Only the children of rich people were being benefited by the good education. The Hindi speaking children were deprived of the education. Their future was lost in the darkness of ignorance.
Rev. Fr. Robert Dragman shone like a great spark of light for them who were pitifully sad and abandoned. So his compassionate heart felt the pain of the needs of neglected, downtrodden and deprived people and established this school for boys.
I am fortunate to work in this school with such dedicated, innovative and caring staff members, parents and students. I strongly believe that education is a collaborative effort that involves professional administrators, committed teachers, motivated students and enthusiastic parents.
Children need a supportive environment at home and at school. The parents are the most strengthening power in moulding the future of their children. Their consistent support empowers us to do more and more. I pay my gratitude to them for their faith in us.
I pray that God’s abundant graces be always on the school family, so that many poor and needy students can be blessed with good education every year.
