I am glad our school started in 1933 with ten students, and four teachers has grown like a Banyan tree today. It was started to provide all round education to girls who were deprived of literacy then. It's said, "educate a boy,  he will become a dutiful citizen, educate a girl, she will empower a family". Thus our St. Maria Goretti school had educated more than 10,000 families so far in Asansol area.  We hope to empower our students with various soft skills during their school years.We believe our students will become committed leaders with moral values.  I wish and pray that some of our girls become prominent, integral leaders of Asansol, our state and mother land. I thank all my teachers for their generous service and the guardians for their loving support. May God bless all of us
