BACKGROUND OF THE SCHOOL – This school was established in the year 1958. Previously it was run by the Tea Garden & a group of founder member. It was just a thatch house with two rooms and had only a primary section. The fund was supplied by the Tea Garden. Later, in 1967 it was upgraded as2- Class Upper Primary and then in the year 1984 it was upgraded as4- Class Upper Primary School. It is only in 2011 after a long span of time, that the school got its recognition as High School and again in 2014 it recognised as Higher Secondary one.

  • DESCRIPTION OF BUILDING AND ITS CONDITION –

This School do not have a healthy infrastructure. We just have 08 classrooms and the school building is in dilapidated condition. The classrooms are dinzy due to lack of proper electricity. Maintenance is a must as some of the pillars are cracked due to the Earthquake, During the Monsoon season, there is a continuous seepage in the classrooms and this poses a lot of problems.

 

  • INFRASTRUCTURE –

We do not have a good infrastructure. The classrooms are not sufficient. There are no separate common rooms for the boys & girls as well as staff room for male & female staff members. The classrooms are dinzy. There are no sufficient separate toilets for the staff and the students. No fencing around the campus, no proper electrification. We do not have a Library & Laboratory rooms-the school buildings needs proper maintenance. There is a lot of works needed in the school

 

  • LOCALITY –

This Saraswati Higher Secondary School is centrally located in the midst of many villages. Hence, it is easily accessible for the students coming from surrounding areas. The locality is predominantly Nepalese(Gorkhas). They are supportive as well as co-operative and they do not pose any hindrance to the school.
