History

St. Xavier's HS School (co-educational) is located at Dilaram nearly 10 Km. away from Kurseong Town towards Darjeeling. The School was established in the year 1964 with the help of missionaries and local people. The founder of the School was late K.B.Chettri, Ex-MP. The local people though economically poor and educationally backward felt the need of a full-fledged High School and came forward to accomplish this goal unitedly. There goes a saying "Unity is Strength". The goal was achieved after putting a tremendous effort and the WBBSE accorded recognition upto Class XII as following manner :
