RULES OF THE SCHOOL

1.    St. Xavier's School believes discipline helps the students to build up their moral-character and future career.

2.    The students are to be in the School at 08:45 a.m. punctually. Late arrivals get their diary signed by Class Teacher / HOI at School end-time i.e. 15:15 p.m.

3.    The School Authority cannot be responsible for the pupils before or after school hours.

4.    No students may leave the school premises without the permission of the HOI during school hours.

5.    Students who have been absent from class must have the reason entered in the regularity record stating briefly the reason for absence.

6.    A student will be suspended / dismissed whose diligence and progress in studies is steadily unsatisfactory or whose conduct is harmful to other students.                   Immorality, disobedience, contempt of authority, using unfair means during tests or wilful damage to property is always sufficient reason for dismissal.

7.    Parents / Guardians must see that their ward gives the same amount of time to study everyday whether written home work is set or not. Remarks in the                     remarks-coloumn should be counter signed by parents.

8.    Contineous absences for 10 days without intimation will be considered equivalent to the withdrawal of the student from school and his / her name will be stuck           off from rolls.    

9.    All damages to school property must be remedied at the cost of the offender.

10. School uniform is obligatory everyday. Therefore a sufficient number should be provided. No student will be admitted into class without proper uniform. Jewellery        and fancy ornaments are not permitted.

11.  The school diary is personal record of each student. It should be taken to the school daily. If lost, it must be replaced. Students are themselves responsible for           the safe custody of their books and other belongings. Each article should be marked with the students name., class and section.

12.  Students are not allowed to go to the Hill Cart Road site during 10 minutes break-period.

13.  Students have to obtain required % marks in the tests / examinations in every subject in order to get promotion.

14.   Any student ( boy / girl) who gets married during the school session he/ she will be dismissed immidietly without noice.

15.   Parents are request to co-operate with the school by enforcing regularity observing holidays mentioned in the diary. They should check the diary regularly

        for remarks by the teachers regarding academic progress, behaviour, neglect of home-work and for the unit test result.
