
Chenga Primary School is located in the foot hill of Mirik Dist: Darjeeling West Bengal. It is one of the oldest school in the region which was established in the year 1968, School Started its Journey from a temporary hut and now the school has two separate building. The school is located in the centre of the village accessible by road. In the front side the school it is surrounded by temple and the school also consist of a large play ground. With the increase in level of education system the school is provided with basic needs which were absent earlier.
Chenga primary school got its name from the village in which it is located. Being in the foot hills of Darjeeling the weather here is moderate which provide a good learning condition. The school itself carry a great history in itself as many of the employed person in this region are from this school. Earlier the school ran classes from 1 to 8 but later the upper class was shifted and the school only had classes from 1 to 4, but recently the class was upgraded to class 5. The school have electricity connection which provide relief during the hot Weather.
